Oldfield visits 'D' 'C' & 'B' Coys. 1030: Admiral Boyd visits aerodrome. 1040: Major General R.G. Sturges C.B., O.C 121 Force visits aerodrome and calls at Bn HQ. 1400: Coy Cmdrs conf, officers of attached units attending. 1515: SAAF planes arrive, first being Lockheed Lodestars and Marylands. During afternoon Packs and Officers valises arrive being off loaded on Orangea Peninsula West, and collected by M.T. 1550: LT with HQ 13 Inf Bde established. |
