Entry Mules sent to BAWLI at Capt Attwood's request return at night as it was impossible to use them to transport stores etc to SHABE - Sampans were obtained for the purpose. 2 mule leaders were admitted to hospital at BAWII. 26 Ind Div Comdr. Major General C.E.N. LOMAX C.B.E.., D.S.O., M.C. visited the Bn. - spent most of the time in the C.O's Office and much to the regret of all cuts the leave quota down to 20 - This proved more disappointing to about 20 men whose passes had already been signed.
