BARREL attacked by Japs which was repulsed. Enemy dead positive 4 probably more. 0930 hrs. Air Strike by V.D.B. on BUN. Successful, but Japs must have excellent positions dug deep into the earth and there was still strong opposition there after such intense shelling and Dive Bombing. 1255 - 1330 hrs. 155MM enemy gun shelled area of road by ITALY - Letwedet Ch. 1345 hrs. Recce party to BUN held up by enemy in bulge of Letwedet Chaung. 1800 hrs. Further Patrol sent to exploit N.E. slopes. 1805 hrs. Shelling M/B road. |
