Pl A Coy moves to attack BARREL. Strong enemy bunker positions stopped advance on this feature. 0830 hrs. North slope s of BARREL occupied. 1000 hrs. Pl A coy occupied BARREL after overcoming enemy strog [sic] points and Coy consolidated on all features gained. 1300 hrs. to 0730 hrs. 18th April. Pl A Coy moves to BUN, and on reaching crest, is met by heavy M.G and rifle fire. Pl withdrawn to allow Arty concentration on BUN. |
