Location TATMIN CHAUNG, Burma
Entry Patrol under Capt AFFLECK dep SICILY and moved SOUTH. Found Jap A/Tank mine at 442438. Came under very heavy mortar fire which came from BM 75 area. Proceeded to LAUNGCHAUNG and found CAMEL occupied. Located booby traps 447434. On moving around trap, fired on from both sides of CH and HUMP and CAMEL. W.O.II (CSM PRIDDICE A) mortally wounded. Enemy force estimated 1 Pl on CAMEL and stronger force on HUMP who covered Ch from WEST to EAST. Enemy appears building up strength on HUMP and CAMEL. 2nd Patrol brought information back of strong enemy defences to area SOUTH of Pt 551.
