| Entry | First W/T set dismantled and leaves for PATNA. 0910 hrs. 2nd Lieut HARDING A Coy reports from ARRAH with party 2 Y and L. Only 3 road blocks on road and journey took 1 3/4 hrs. A Coy report attached as Appendix XI. A Coy party departs 1035 hrs. 1025 hrs. Details of transport 2/BORDERS report here and were directed back to PATNA. 1130 HRS. Capt. DOGGRELL visits ARMY L of C HQ. Receives orders from Comd. to organise raid BHITA to recover loot and make arrests. 1300 hrs. Capt DOGGRELL reports 2/BORDERS arrived PATNA and 23 INF BDE established HQ at BANKIPORE CLUB. 1/WILTS come under commander BRIG. COX, comd 23 INF BDE. 1545 hrs. W/T sta. closed down and moved PATNA. 1545 hrs. Telephne commn. with PATNA and KHAGAUL open. 1925 hrs. Lieut TOPHAM and 40 BOR'S C Coy return DINAPORE from PATNA. 2100 hrs. Orders for BIHTA raid cancelled - per AA & QMG to Lt Col THOMAS and Major ASHLEY on telephone. Reference to Appendices Appendix XI. |
