Entry 1000-1130 hrs. Larger crowd in same place as 10 Aug, on bridge near guard room. Civil police disperse with lathis. Congress flag placed on disused building in DINAPORE Cantonment. Military not asked to intervene. S.D.O. McRAY, in close co-operation. 0900 hrs. Draft of 40 B.O.R.'S arrive from U.K. 1825 hrs. Chief Secretary to Governor of BIHAR on telephone asks for two coys to stand by. 1900 hrs. Capt. D. DOGGRELL leaves for PATNA as civil liaison offr. 2000 hrs. Major MOTT, 2i/c 2/Y and L, telephones from Commissioners House, PATNA. One coy ordered ARRAH to arrive anytime after midnight, one coy required HIGH COURT, PATNA at 0800 hrs. 12 Aug, B Coy moving under orders EAST ARMY direct from KULGACHIA - MUZAFFARPUR. 2/Y and L moving RANCHI-DINAPORE as early as possible. 2230 hrs. A Coy (Comd Capt R.W. STEPHENSON) leave for ARRAH by road. Strength 80 including drivers i/c. Reference to Appendices None.
