Entry Midnight. Weather fine. Strength. 22 Officers 902 OR. Detached 10 Officers 79 OR. 2 OR to detachment. Observation. At 0635 two men were seen working at the foot of PITON DES RONCES, thought to be mending a telephone wire. 1330 small cloud of smoke seen in DAUTLI. Movement seen on the PYRAMIDE, where a new earthwork has been constructed. Shelling. At 0600 3 shrapnel over BEKERLI FORD. Between 1145 and 1215 enemy registered on BERGERIE with 12 small calibre shrapnel and HE. Memo. Bulgar prisoner who had escaped from French prisoners camp in Salonika came into our lines at midday and was arrested. He appears very depressed.
