Entry 6pm. Weather fine. Strength. 22 Officers 909 OR. Detached 6 Officers 67 OR. 4 OR joined, 3 OR struck off. 1 OR to Detachment, 1 OR rejoined from detachment. Observation. Night. At 2000 several M.Gs opened fire from MACHINE GUN HILL but none of these could be seen. Day. At 0430 a limber was seen on road round hill W.N.W PROBERE. Single men use this road at intervals during day. Our artillery shelled near this point between 1500 and 1540 hours. Between 0430 and 0530 enemy registered with T.M between DOUBLE HILL and M.G. HILL. At 0800 two men seen observing from the DORSAL and two men from LASELLE.
