Entry 6pm. Weather fine. Much hotter. Strength. 22 Officers 899 OR. Detached 6 Officers 70 OR. 1 OR to Hospital. Observation. Night. 2000 man seen to appear on DOUBLE HILL and make signals with his arms in the direction of enemy. F.OO was informed and hill was shelled. Man was in view about a minute. 2030 enemy signalled by lamp from trenches near the NOSE. Two grass fires near enemy trenches in front of DOME at 0400. Extinguished in 5 minutes. Day. Small working party in enemy front line between 0500 and 0600. During early morning enemy T.M registered in CARDIFF and BANGOR and Y Ravines.
