Entry 6pm. Weather fine. Strength. 18 Officers 863 OR. Detached 5 Officers 63 OR. 26 OR (Middlesex Regt) returned from detachment at SNEVCE Railhead. 2 OR (Middlesex) attached. Observation. Night. Enemy continued ranging on his trenches at NIKOLIC until 1840 firing some 40 shells making over 100 shells in all during day. Day. Enemy continued registering on their own trenches round NIKOLIC. 0650 about 90 men seen on DEDELI - DOIRAN ROAD going towards GRAND COURONNE. Memo. Night 22nd/23rd Battalion left its position in DOVA TEPE Sector being relieved by 11th WORCESTER REGT, arriving at HIRSOVA at 0400 hours. Operation order No 23 attached.
