Entry 6pm. Weather fine. Strength. 18 Officers 833 OR. Detached 5 Officers 91 OR. 2nd Lt W.A. CAMPBELL (attd from 5th R.I. Fus) accidentally wounded, ceased to be attached on being admitted to Hospital. 1 OR (Middlesex) to Hospital, 1 OR (Middlesex) attached. Observation. Night. Quiet. Day. Usual movement of transport on roads behind enemy lines and of men round NIKOLIC CHURCH throughout the day. 1510 2 men seen to enter village of MENETLI. During day enemy ranged on and about NIKOLIC CHURCH and put over about 60 shells, some on their front line other in gullies running from flank of NIKOLIC position. About 10 shells burst on plain about 1/4 mile S. of Same position. Men were noticed moving about on the far hills N.W. of NIKOLIC not more that 7 being seen at once.
