Entry 6pm. Weather fine. Strength. 16 Officers 575 OR. Detached 6 Officers 87 OR. 3 OR killed, 5 OR wounded, 7 OR to Hospital, 1 OR joined, 1 Officer rejoined from detachment (Capt C.W. HUGHES M.C.). At 2330 enemy started an intensive bombardment on our sector which lasted till 0100. Considerable damage was done to the trenches. Casualties 3 OR killed, 5 OR wounded. At 0200 the Battalion was relieved by the 11th Scottish Rifles and went back into camp by old rest camp near PITON ROCHEUX.
