Entry 6pm. Weather fine. Strength. 29 Officers 891 OR. Detached 7 Officers 86 OR. 2 OR wounded. B Coy 32434 Pte WOOD N. 32430 " SCHNEIDER A F. Observation. Night. Enemy bombarded our front line between 2200 and 2300 hours. Result 5 parapets blown down, no casualties. 7 red lights went up on right of O2. Machine guns fired continually at gaps in enemy wire. Day. Our artillery continued to bombard enemy lines and cut gaps in wire. Enemy retaliated with HE and shrapnel and trench mortars. Casualties 2 OR wounded. Enemy aeroplanes dropped 6 bombs in WYLYE VALLEY near battery. No damage.
