Observation. Night. 1615 T.M. bombardment opened on B2 and B4 for 2 hours. No damage to trenches, 1 Officer (2Lt COWIE) and 1 OR wounded. 1955 about 20 men seen on reverse slope PETIT COURONNE apparently working. 2030 artillery fired 4 shells and M.G from B8 fired. 2130 wiring party centre O2 dispersed by Lewis Gun. Day. 1030 a party of 12 Bulgars seen on road behind DOIRAN. Our artillery fired two rounds which scattered party. 1400 one Bulgar seen in enemy trenches wearing a steel helmet British pattern without cover. |
