Entry 6pm. Weather fine. Hailstorm which lasted 15 minutes in morning. Strength 27 Officers 902 OR Detached 9 Officers 88 OR. 1 OR to Hospital. Observation. Night. Enemy aeroplane flew very low in front of our lines at 1600. About 30 howitzer shrapnel and 4 field gun HE fell on right of B2 and above PATTY RAVINE between 1600 and 1900. Between 1630 and 1800 enemy trench mortar fired about 25 shells on F.T. B2 and S.T. B4. No damage. At 2100 our artillery intensely bombarded enemy lines, especially GRAND COURONNE for half an hour. Enemy did not reply on this sector to bombardment or to demonstration made by us in trenches, rattling tins and slight clatter. A few Very lights and rifle shots were fired and a Bulgar was heard to laugh and shout "Come on Johnny". Day. Quiet.
