Entry 6pm. Weather, fine and warm. Strength. 28 Officers 904 OR. Detached 8 Officers 82 OR. 2 OR to detachment, 3 OR rejoined from detachment. Observation. Night. Enemy sent up flares along his front and chiefly from PETIT COURONNE towards WYLYE VALLEY between 2100 and 2400. Night quiet. Day. 4 HE shells from field gun on B4 between 1350 and 1400. Otherwise day quiet. A quantity of dirt has been thrown out from a shell hole 200 yds in front of the enemy wire on O2.
