Entry 6 pm. Weather dull. Strength. 27 Officers 890 OR. Detached 12 Officers 106 OR. 1 OR to Hospital, 2 OR struck off. 25447 Pte COX A T (D Coy) died of wounds at 31st C.C.S. JANES. Observation. Bight. 16 HE and 8 shrapnel from field gun on right sector between 1720 and 0345. Enemy sniping at intervals throughout night. Lieut PLOWMAN went out from B6 at 2045 and brought back piece of enemy wire. Observation. Day. Fresh work observed on the new dugout on O2. The dugout in O1/O2 appears to be finished. Some fresh wire put up on O2. B4 lightly shelled between 1035 and 1240.
