Night. 1630-1730 B6/8 heavily shelled with shrapnel and HE. 1845 snipers on O2 active. 0410 patrol returned and reported blasting behind PETIT COURONNE. Day. Between 1400 and 1445 10 shells from field gun in orchard and DOIRAN RD near new screened path from BASING HILL. At 1200 18 of our planes flew over enemy lines in N. direction. News of occupation of BAGDAD [sic BAGHDAD]
