Entry 6 pm. Weather. Fine. Heavy rain at 1730 followed by N.E. wind. Strength. 26 Officers 891 OR. Detached 15 Officers 107 OR. 1 OR wounded (15027 Pte YORATH W R, D Coy 8.3.17), 4 OR to Hospital (1 wounded), 1 Officer and 4 OR struck off strength, Lieut R H CLAYTON evacuated to Malta 1.3.17, Lieut ROLESON R.B. RAMC attached for duty as M.O. 8.3.17. Observation. Night. 0215 aeroplane heard and two signal lights on GRAND COURONNE. 0230 aeroplane seen flying over our trenches from N.W. to S.E. 6 H.E. field gun shells on B4 between 2140 and 0150. Large party of Bulgars seen on road N.E. of DOIRAN. Heavies fired 4 rounds, but it was to dark to observe full effect of shells. Lewis Gun dispersed working party on O2 at 2230 hours. Day. B4 lightly shelled between 1445 and 1455.
