Entry | 6 pm. Weather dull, some rain. Strength. 28 Officers 921 OR. Detached 13 Officers 90 OR. Lieut KNOTT F H rejoined from Hospital. 2 OR to Hospital. C.S.M. O'NEILL H joined unit from 5th R.I.F. Observation. Night. Bulgar Lake Post in PATTE D'OIE Ravine fired at coming over crestline with L.G taken out beyond new No1 post. Seven men seen in all. At 2110 patrol went out and planted notice board on O2. 2220 working parties located on left of O2 and right of PETIT COURONNE. No4 L.G and V.G in B14 opened fire and artillery sent over 3 rounds which temporarily dispersed party. Day. All quiet. Corps Commander visited the sector and expressed approval of work done. |
