Entry 6 pm. Weather wet, rain all day, clearing in afternoon. Strength. 30 Officers 920 OR Detached 13 Officers 93 OR. 1 OR to Hospital, 5 OR rejoined from detachment 2nd Lieut A N TUCKER rejoined from Gas School, also 1 OR. 12421 Pte BROWNING H, 'A' Coy died of wounds received in action (raid) night 23/24 Dec at 4th Canadian General Hospital. Observation. Night. Artillery shelled transport entering DOIRAN at 2010 and wiring party on O2 at 2350. Front lightly shelled between 1830 and 0255. Day. 7 shrapnel shells from field gun over ST B6 between 1500 and 1600, shells aimed at our working party in trenches which withdrew each time. 50 yards new wire erected between O2 and O1 during night.
