Entry | 6 pm. Snowing until 1000 hours, then fine but dull. Strength. 29 Officers 915 OR Detached 14 Officers 98 OR. 1 OR to hospital 1 OR to detachment, 3 OR struck off strength. Observation. Night. No 3 Lewis Gun fired 3 magazines at 1830 at Bulgar Lake Group from hillside in front of No1 group in B2. Enemy did not reply. B4, B8 and BASING HILL lightly shelled during night. Day. Enemy field gun registered new wire in front of B2. Two Bulgar officers were observed when mist lifted at 1000 examining wire in front of PETIT COURONNE. There was a large dog with them 12 rounds were fired from B6 range 1200yds. One officer apparently hit. |
