Observation. Night. 3 HE shells fell in B2 and B4 sectors at 1700. One damaged parapet of trench and another a traverse. At 1935 three white flashes were seen from White house on right of DOIRAN followed by one flash from the other side of the Lake, north of BREST. B4 lightly shelled between 2000 and 2030. Day. 0950 SWINDON CAMP shelled with HE and again at 1330. One dugout blown in, no Casualties. At 1150 enemy battle plane flying over our lines was attacked by one of our scouts and was brought down some distance behind our transport lines. Enemy's heavy guns tried to destroy this machine during the afternoon, without success. |
