Entry 6 pm. Weather wet, rain all day with hail at 1300 hours. Strength. 31 Officers 927 OR Detached 12 Officers 107 OR. Colonel Rocke to command (temporary) 87th Infy Brigade Major de Bathe assumed command of Battalion. 1 OR to Hospital, 1 Officer and 8 OR attached to T M Battery retaken on strength. Observation. Night. Patrol reported working party on O1 and O2 between 2015 and 2200. Blasting heard between 2400 and 0030 on green hill behind DOIRAN. Day. Day very quiet. Observation difficult owing to mist and rain. Memo. Colonel Rocke and RSM Kemsley mentioned in Lieut General Milne's Despatch dated 8th October 1916.
