Entry | 6 pm. Weather fine. Strength 31 Officers 967 OR Detached 11 Officers 93 OR. 1 OR to Hospital, 2 OR struck off strength. Observation night Our patrols went out at intervals during the night, one patrol report having heard enemy working party, it was dispersed by shrapnel from our Artillery. Enemy shelled our trenches lightly during the night. Our Artillery fired very frequently on enemy wire and trenches to prevent enemy working. Observation day 20 shells fell in sectors B4 and B6 2 duds. Between 13.45 and 14.20 9 HE fell behind main line trenches. Our Artillery heavily bombarded O1 during the day doing great damage to wire and trenches. |
