Observation night At 22.10 Enemy fired two shrapnel shells whilst working party was returning. Enemy wiring parties were busy during the night. Observation day At 10.35 Enemy fired two shells in gully left of our trenches. At 12.40 enemy shelled road, shelling ceased at 13.00. 3 shells were fired on BASING HILL during the day all from NNW direction. Between 13.00 and 13.30 8 enemy shells fell in transport lines wounding two mules and slightly damaging harness. |
