| Entry | 6 pm. During night of 31/1st enemies working parties were active our patrols out during night saw nothing of the enemy. At 0245 rifle fire was heard behind LA TORTURE otherwise night was quiet. During the day from 0850 to 1540 our trenches were intermittently shelled by the enemy, no casualties. Strength 32 officers 886 OR detached 5 officers 71 OR 2 OR to 65th Bde on detachment 3 OR to Hospital 2 OR rejoined from detachment 3 OR Struck off the Strength 4 OR rejoined from Inf. Base Depot 4 OR to detachment (Bde Guard). Weather fine |
