| Entry | A fine morning. Our guns opened a very heavy fire from 1.30pm to 4.30pm to cover an attack made by 1st Division on our right at GIVENCHY in order to retake a small redoubt from which they had been driven on December 31st 1914. A & B Companies ordered to open "rapid bursts" of fire at intervals during the day. Relieved by Staffords about 5.30pm and returned to Brigade Reserve in LE TOURET. |
