'D' 'A' and 'C' Companies in front, 'B' Coy. In due Support. Battalion H.Q. in SUNKEN Road immediately in rear of 'B' Coy. At 4p.m Enemy advanced from N. and N.E. checked by our Shell, Lewis Gun and Rifle fire on line LAGNICOURT - VAULX, heavy casualties inflicted on the enemy.
