Entry Moved to ground W. of LEBUCQUIERE at 2.30a.m. Moved to MORCHIES at 11.30a.m and consolidated 3rd line of Defence from MORCHIES Village to Sugar Factory on BAPAUME Road. 'D' 'A' and 'C' Companies in front, 'B' Coy. In due Support. Battalion H.Q. in SUNKEN Road immediately in rear of 'B' Coy. At 4p.m Enemy advanced from N. and N.E. checked by our Shell, Lewis Gun and Rifle fire on line LAGNICOURT - VAULX, heavy casualties inflicted on the enemy.
