Entry A patrol under 2 officers of 'C' Company made a reconnaissance of enemy trenches at NAGS NOSE - Enemy support line reached without opposition - trenches found to be in a bad state and in some cases waterlogged. On reaching support Line enemy were seen approaching in 3 parties of about 10 men each on either flank and centre - Patrol then withdrew. Enemy artillery very quiet during these 2 days in Trenches.
