Entry Night of 4/5 Apr. a patrol of 1 officer a 6 men left our lines at O.7.a 3.2 but owing to brightness of moon it was impossible to get close to enemy lines. Our artillery active - wire cutting - Enemy shelled our front line by way of retaliation - 'C' Company withdrawing to new Reserve Line. Our Trench Mortars fired on enemy front line at about 2/30p.m, enemy retaliated with considerable force. A raid on our left by 16th Division at night successful capturing 50 prisoners. A draft of 27 other ranks arrived. Lt. H.H. Forster from 3rd Wilts joined. Remarks WYTSCHAETE 28 S.W.
