| Entry | Night of 31/1 Spr. Battalion relieved 9th Welch in the trenches from H.1 to K.1N. A & B Companies in the firing line. 'C' in support - 'D' in reserve. Half Company Canadians attached to each Company for instruction. Operation by 36 Division on 57 Brigade front with Artillery Co-operation. Slight bombardment by enemy on our front line.
