Entry 9th - 12th During this tour in the trenches a great deal of work was done owing to the bad condition of the line. On the whole the enemy were very quiet - most afternoons they bombarded our front line with Minenwerfers sic [Minenwerfers]. The casualties were slight 1 man being killed and 12 wounded. The damage done to trenches was slight with the exception of breaching our parapet in several places in the afternoon of the 12th. The enemy shelled our front line position with heavy shells this afternoon. On the night of 10/11 'C' Company relieved 'B' in the firing line and 'D' Company relieved 'A'. A draft of 46 other ranks arrived on the 10th. Remarks FRANCE and BELGIUM Sheet 28 SW
