| Entry | After 2 barrages of German artillery fire Battalion changed their position in the wood in the afternoon to further South of the wood. 'A' and 'B' Companies were attached to S.W.B for the night to dig a support trench but owing to the attack by the 52nd Brigade not being successful these Companies were not employed and returned early next morning.
