Entry 16th - 20th Battn moved on Wednesday night in billets in Reserve - 'C' Coy occupying posts as RUE DE CAILLOUX, Le Plantin and various small communication stores. Rest of Battalion were in dugouts in the immediate lines near Estaminet Corner. Battn employed in improving Cheshire Trench. On Thursday night 2 Officers were hit whilst superintending work - Lt Nolton being killed and Lt. Garthwaite being wounded. There were no casualties amongst the men. Weather very fine and things generally quiet. On Sunday morning the enemy fired shells at Turning Fork Road.
