Entry The enemy had retired across the KHAWAR RIVER on the approach of the advance guard, and the Battalion bivouaced about CL 25A 4/2 (TC 252) One platoon of 'A' company took up an outpost position in hills 1 mile NORTH of this point. 'B' and 'D' Companies moved forward to 40 R CL 3A and took up an outpost position covering the ford over QAZAH CHAI by 5.0p.m. The whole battalion concentrated there at 6.0a.m 24th inst. with the remainder of LEWIN'S COLUMN.
