| Entry | The 12 CAVALRY passed through the piquet line at 7a.m and moved towards ABU GHARAIB. During the day the piquet line was improved and visual communication maintained with DETACHMENT HQRS and with the CAVALRY Reconnaissance. Escorts were found for the SURVEY party and patrols were carried out with view to discovering any new water supply. ELGHARE (TC 124) was definitely fixed by SURVEY party, At 4.30p.m the CAVALRY retired through the piquet line and at 6p.m the force withdrew to the SERAI arriving at 9.45p.m. Work on defensive positions and road continued. |
