Entry The remainder of the Battalion moved forward from SUHANIYEH sic [SUHANIYA] CUT with the AIN LAILAH DETACHMENT at 7.30a.m and were joined en route by the detachment at Z71 Central, the whole then proceeding to a point 1 mile SOUTH of AIN LAILAH, known henceforth as the TRANSPORT CAMP. Here all wheeled transport was parked and loads transferred to Pack mules, and at 1.45p.m the battalion moved on to AIN LAILAH where camp was pitched. Battalion Hdqrs was established in the SERIA with AIN LAILAH DET Hqrs. D Coy proceeding NORTH to the MAIN PASS relieved the 12th CAVALRY and took up a position on the PASS. B Coy proceeding to CEMETERY HILL made preliminary dispositions for the establishment of a defensive line there. A and C Coys remained in reserve immediately SOUTH of the SERIA.
