Entry | Regimental Sports were held WEST of Camp and an excellent programme was carried through. Great enthusiasm prevailed and competition was particularly keen. During the afternoon many officers from neighbouring units visited the sports and remained to tea thus heightening the social nature of the gathering. BRIG.GEN. A.C. LEWIN CB. CMG. DSO., kindly presented the prizes. An evening concert was held all ranks gathering round a huge bonfire and joining heartily in popular choruses. At the close of the concert all joined hands and sang For Auld Lang Syne after which the National Anthem was sung. Many men expressed the opinion that they had spent their happiest Xmas for a number of years. |
