Entry The Battalion less 'D' Company moved from camp in Motor Lorries at 2.20a.m 3rd inst. and proceeded via P.1. 5/5 to Z93A arriving at 5.a.m and joined up with 'D' Company. The Battalion formed up in mass facing EAST a short halt was made and Battalion then proceeded East in artillery formation towards foothills North of SUHANIYEH sic [SUHANIYA]. A & B companies leading. ROYAL WELSH FUSILIERS and WILTS supporting 8th CHESHIRES and 4th SOUTH WALES BORDERERS A & C companies advanced and occupied position vacated by 8th CHESHIRES. B company proceeded as escort to artillery at SUHANIYEH sic [SUHANIYA]. 'D' Company remaining with Headquarters. Headquarters and 'D' company proceeded through hills at 4a.m to BRIGADE Headquarters and bivouaced 1 mile North of SUHANIYEH FORT sic [SUHANIYA] , A & C companies joining later in evening. 'A' company brought in 7 Prisoners, 1 Pony and 2 Mules with ammunition.
