Location Mesopotamia, At S.9 Position
Entry 1st to 9th January Battalion engaged in brush cutting for improvement of roads during wet weather. Found Guard of 1officer and 63 O.Rs for Corps Headquarters at Atab. At S.9 during this period, weather changeable. Engaged for the most part in brush cutting for road improvements and Company Training etc. River Hai rose considerably on the 7th and continued to rise reaching its limit on 9th during which period it had risen 15 feet.
