Location Mesopotamia, Masons Mounds
Entry 6.30a.m. During the night 19th/20th the Battalion was relieved by the 1/8th Gurkhas, and withdrew to Rest Camp at MASON'S MOUNDS, arriving at 6.30a.m. During the week ending May 20th 43 men were evacuated sick to hospital. May 20th to 28th Routine during Rest Camp Occupation consisted of Close Order Drill, Squad Arms Drill. Physical training. Bathing etc.
