Location	Mesopotamia, Beit Aieesa sic [Bait Isa]
Entry	Our patrols discovered enemy had evacuated his trenches at Beit Aieesa, probably leaving them during the night 18th/19th. Patrols under Lt W.J. Wrigley, 2nd Lt J. Macmillan and 2nd Lt C.C. Webb were pushed off to get into touch. Cheshires occupied Chahela Trenches. Our patrols withdrawing to our lines. Telegram received from Corps H.Qrs "Much pleased with good work of Cheshires, Wilts and N. Staffords."
