Location Mesopotamia, Falahiyeh
Entry Wilts leading brigade rushed 1st line enemy trenches. Captured without difficulty: about 12 prisoners taken. Turkish force found to have evacuated position. Brigade formed up and went forward about 9a.m. Came under heavy rifle and machine gun fire from guns at FALAHIYEH, about two miles further on. Batt. advanced well over very open country and dug in about 800yds from enemy. At dusk withdrew to bivouac by river about 1 mile behind. Casualties; Wounded Capt. J.W. Greany DSO (doing duty) Capt.
