Entry | Camp 'F' A competition was held for prizes given by the Brigadier General for an endurance and musketry test. Company teams had entered throughout the Brigade and practised for 10 days. The conditions were as follows, course of 2 miles over sand to be covered in full marching order with additional points for time and style allowing 1 1/2 minutes on reaching butts to open fire. As a result of the competition all 4 prizes were carried off by the Coys of the battalion, a most credible performance for although stronger in numbers than any other Battalion in the Brigade the time for the course was exceptionally good and the turnout of teams most satisfactory. Results as follows:- A Coy 51 points D " 39 " B " 36 " C " 33 " The next team gained 31 points The Regiment had been ordered to equip with all possible speed in clothing equipment and transport and khaki drill was issued.
