War Diary

1915-12-03
Regiment 5th Wiltshire
Location Gallipoli, Suvla
Entry Fire trenches N.E. of Hill 70 3,4,5,6th. With milder weather hostilities again apparent. Shellfire and sniping. Heavy stores begin to be evacuated every night. Patrols sent out of 1 officer, n.c.o by all regiments to observe if enemy's patrols on working parties are active. Parties provided for deepening and strengthening wire entanglements in front of fire trenches especially where undergrowth is thick. Conditions considerably improved and spirits, health better.
