Regiment 5th Wiltshire
Location Gallipoli, S.E. of Suvla Bay
Entry Fire trenches Rain continued and made attempts to drain off water almost unavailing. Orders to evacuate unfit men. These were collected for embarkation but had to remain for roads to beach were flooded and rations had to be man handled from reserve depot. Enemy fired some shells during night. Rain turning to snow 1 man Pte WAITE C Coy shot by snipers in morning while draining trench 1 man wounded while cleaning rifle.
