| Entry | Fire trenches Work on new fire trenches was continued. Early this morning one man was killed in the trenches. Our trenches are becoming daily more exposed owing to the fact that the majority of the trees are deciduous and are rapidly shedding their leaves. The Brigade drew attention to the commencement of the feast of Bairam on the night of Oct 18/19th and the desirability of special vigilance until its termination on the night of Oct 22/23. |
