| Entry | Position approximately on a front of 350 yards in a line drawn N.E and S.W from Halfway up B105 to a point 100yds down in H105 about 100yds W of E Line of square H in Anafarta Sagir section of Gallipoli Map Scale 1.20,000. 1st- 2nd October Engaged cleaning up trenches, remaking minor improvements in many directions. 2nd Lieut Priestley sick in hospital. Remarks: Left Battalion of 40th Brigade 13th Division. 9th Army Corps 8th Cheshires on our right 4th South Wales Borderers and 8th Royal Welsh Fusiliers in support of Cheshires and ourselves respectively in reserve trenches some 600 yds S.W of firing line. |
